Build analyses and workflows

Every workflow in Savant starts with an analysis.

An analysis is your workspace for building a workflow. It contains the data sources, processing steps, and destination agents that work together to complete a task.

You build a workflow by adding agents to the canvas and connecting them in the order you want the data to flow.

Add agents to your workflow

Use the Tools panel to add agents to your analysis.

Depending on what you want to accomplish, you can add agents that:

  • Connect to data sources.

  • Prepare and transform data.

  • Apply business rules.

  • Use AI to enrich or classify data.

  • Deliver results to external systems.

Drag an agent onto the canvas and connect it to the previous step in your workflow.

How a workflow comes together

Every workflow follows the same general process:

  1. Connect data: Import data from your source systems.

  2. Prepare and transform: Clean, join, filter, or standardize your data.

  3. Apply AI or business rules: Enrich, classify, validate, or analyze your data.

  4. Deliver results: Send the processed data to another application, database, or report.

Reuse existing workflows

If you've already built a workflow, you don't need to start again.

You can duplicate an existing analysis and modify it to meet a different business requirement. Reusing workflows helps maintain consistency and reduces the time needed to build similar processes.

Monitor your workflows

After building a workflow, you can run it manually or configure it to run automatically.

As workflows execute, Savant records information that helps you understand how data moved through each step. This information can also help you troubleshoot issues and review workflow history.
