The Canvas
Updated over a year ago

The Beginner’s Bollywood template is used as a reference in this article.

The Canvas is a powerful tool that helps us visualize the flow of data through our analysis.

1️⃣ The Canvas

At its core, the Canvas is a visual representation of your data logic. It allows you to map out the flow of data from start to finish, giving you a blueprint to follow as you build your analysis.

2️⃣ Connectors

The Connectors on your Canvas represent the flow of data through your analysis. They allow you to connect data sources and tools, creating a seamless flow of information from one tool to the next.

3️⃣ Data Preview

Clicking on any tool on the Canvas will open the Data Preview window, allowing you to see a sample of your dataset.

4️⃣ Sampling

To increase efficiency, Savant samples and displays only a subset of your data. This means that you can work with large datasets without sacrificing performance. However, if you need to analyze your entire dataset, you can use the Run Bot feature to execute your analysis on the full dataset.
