Copy paste and cut, File drop, Analysis import and export

Updated over a week ago

Savants are always improving and their tools should too. That's why we're constantly releasing new features and enhancements every week. Here are the highlights from this month:

Lights, Camera, Actions with Copy, Paste, Cut!

In the fast-paced world of data analysis, efficiency is key. Our new Copy/Paste/Cut functionality is designed to accelerate your work, enabling you to quickly duplicate nodes and configurations across different parts of your analysis or between multiple analyses. This feature is a game-changer for users looking to enhance productivity and ensure consistency in data analysis procedures.

The Copy/Paste/Cut feature allows you to effortlessly copy one or more nodes in your analysis and paste them wherever you need within the same workspace. Simply select your nodes (use Shift for multi-select) and use standard keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+C to copy, Ctrl+V to paste, Ctrl+X to cut) or canvas action menu to manage your project elements in a fraction of the time.

Instant Data with File Drop

To streamline data integration and make the process as seamless as possible, we've introduced the Drag-and-Drop Local File Upload feature. This enhancement allows for quicker, more direct manipulation of data files from your computer into Savant, simplifying the steps between data collection and analysis.

With the drag-and-drop functionality, you can now directly upload any supported data file type into the Savant platform by simply dragging the file from your desktop or folder and dropping it into your analysis. This method eliminates the need for traditional browsing and file selection, reducing the upload process to mere seconds.

Easy/Peasy Analysis Migration with Import/Export

Flexibility in analysis management is crucial for advanced analytics. By enabling the import and export of analyses as JSON files, we are opening up new possibilities for collaboration among teams. This feature ensures that your analysis configurations and customizations are preserved and easily transferable.

The new Import/Export feature allows users to save their entire analysis setup as a JSON file, which can be easily imported into another Savant project or shared with colleagues. To export your analysis, simply select the 'Export' option from the analysis menu on the Analyses page. And to import, click the 'Import' button on the top of the Analyses page and select the JSON file you wish to load. This functionality guarantees that you can share or move your structured analyses with complete integrity and ease.
