The opportunity pipeline change report template is sourced from SFDC. You'll need to provide access to your SFDC account, and select your Opportunity and Opportunity Field History as your source.

Using the opportunity pipeline change report template by Savant, you'll be able to answer key questions about your opportunity pipeline, including:

  • What Opportunities are New?

  • What changes have occurred?

  • How much in value has carried over from the prior quarter?

  • What is expected to close at the end of the month?

This Savant template provides monthly changes in pipeline due to opportunities, including closed won, closed lost, new, amount updated, and close date pushed or pulled forward. You'll also be able to see monthly value amounts in pipeline due to opportunities, including closed won, closed lost, new, amount updated, and close date pushed or pulled forward.

📝 Template Setup

Step 1: Data Input

  1. First, you'll need to replace SFDC Opportunity Field History and confirm field mapping in the subsequent Adaptor.

  2. Then, replace SFDC Opportunity and confirm field mapping in the subsequent Adaptor.

👉 Note: This Template offers the ability to select a custom field to group by in your final report, map this field to the "ATTRIBUTE" column the in adaptor step.

Step 2: Configuration

Next, you'll need to make several key selections:

⚙️ 1: Select the close date value in Field dimension. The report is currently configured to select CloseDate in the Field dimension for Opportunity Field History.

⚙️ 2: Select the amount value in Field dimension. The report is currently configured to select Amount in the Field dimension for Opportunity Field History. If you would like to use another value field (eg ARR or ACV), change this filter to look for that dimension in the field.

⚙️ 3: Standardize Stage Names. Confirm (or edit) the terminology for the Closed Won and Closed Lost stages.

⚙️ 4: Select Pipeline Opportunities. The Opportunity Type and StageName filters may need to be changed based on the data being used.

⚙️ 5: Create Future Quarter Definition. The Report Future Quarter calculated column is set to show opportunities within the next two quarters. Change this formula to 1 or 0 depending on what is desired for your report.

Step 3: Destination

Finally, we recommend configuring your output to a Google Sheets file and connecting to this prebuilt Data Looker Studio Report.

👉 Note: To make a copy of the Looker Studio Report, simply click on the three dots (located at the uppermost portion) adjacent to the Share button. Then, choose the “Make a Copy” option.
