What is a Role?
In Savant, a role defines a set of secure permissions that determine what actions a user can perform within Savant. By assigning roles to users, you can control who can perform various tasks and mange access to creating, modifying, scheduling, and viewing your analyses, bots, datasets, and systems in Savant.
Roles help to organize user privileges in a secure and structured manner, ensuring that users only have the necessary security permissions to carry out their roles effectively. Savant offers a range of predefined roles, each tailored to different levels of responsiblity, ensuring a fine-grained control over user access and permissions.
User Roles
Below are the different user roles available in Savant and the corresponding actions they can perform:
System Admin - The System Admin role has full control over the entire Savant system and all workspaces.
Workspace Admin - The Workspace Admin role has administrative control over specific workspaces.
Analyst - The Analyst role has permissions focused on managing and analyzing analyses.
Reviewer - The Reviewer role is designed for users who need to review and provide feedback on analytic workflows.
Business User - The Business User role is for end-users who consume analytic apps and reports.

Assigning Roles and Permissions
Login as a System Admin.
Navigate to the Admin page.
On the left-hand side of the admin page, click on Users.
If you need to find a specific user quickly, you can use the search bar or filter at the top of the table.
Find the user for whom you want to change the role and permissions. In the Role column of that user's row, there should be a dropdown menu. Click on the dropdown menu to see a list of available roles.
From the dropdown menu, select the role that you want to assign to the user.
