This month we're introducing Skills to Vision Agent, giving your document extraction workflows a more capable, agent-driven foundation, and strengthening how Savant authenticates with Microsoft Fabric.
We believe powerful tools should advance alongside the analysts who depend on them. March updates bring agentic intelligence to your document processing and more secure, standards-based authentication for your Fabric connections.
Here's what's new this month:
Introducing Vision Agent Skills
Select a Skill in Vision Agent and get a structured extraction prompt loaded in the node, ready to run or adjust. Skills are available for common document types like invoices, bank statements, vendor bills, and purchase orders.
Instead of writing field definitions and output structure from scratch, you start from a proven baseline and edit what you need.
Choose Custom Skill when you need full control over the extraction logic.
OAuth Authentication for Microsoft Fabric
Connecting to Microsoft Fabric just got more secure and more consistent with how your organization manages access.
Savant now supports OAuth authentication for both OneLake reads and Lakehouse writes. Instead of managing separate credentials, your Fabric connections use the same identity-provider-based authentication flow that your IT team already governs.
This means tighter access control, no standalone API keys to rotate, and a connection setup that fits naturally into your organization's security model.
If you're already using Fabric connectors, you can update your authentication method in your connection settings. Existing connections continue to work without disruption.
Insight. Action. Impact.
These updates make your workflows efficient and your connections more secure. We're continuing to ship improvements every week, all designed to help you move faster, work smarter, and deliver your best work with less effort.
Have feedback, ideas, or requests? We'd love to hear from you.
